Master's Message for October 2003
Greetings From The East!

Greetings to all the Brethren and Ladies. I am sitting here in my hotel room waiting for Grand Lodge to begin tomorrow morning in Springfield. The docket has nine Amendments to the By-Laws to be resolved. It will be a full two days of work. The Grand Master for 2003-2004 is scheduled to be RWB Stanley M. Thompson. (He was later elected.)

Congratulations to our Organist, RWB Emory J. Hempel for his nomination to District Deputy Grand Master fo the 27th B Masonic District. I enjoyed RWB Hempel companionship during the 182nd Grand Lodge. We visited with one another during the Grand Lodge Dinner and Lodge of Research Breakfast. During the latter; MWB Jack (J.C.) Montgomery, the guest speaker, spoke of the Masonic words or as he put it "The words of a Master Mason".

The Endowed Membership drawings will continue with a drawing to be held once per quarter. For every meeting you show up to your name will be added to the drawing with a maximum of 3 chances in that quarter. So be sure when attending the meeting to sign the register no matter how long your stay should last.

My deepest gratitude goes out to the Brethren and their families for attending the Installation of Officers 2003-2004. Especially to RWB Harry O. Weber for another magnificent job as Installing Marshal and to WB Dave Swinney for his impromptu readiness and ability to complete the task as Installing Chaplain, finding out the night of the installation of his newly found duty that evening. A tip of the Tile.

The Ladies club has once again been started and the ladies who were at the first meeting mapped out their agenda for the year. So I will leave a space for the ladies corner where the ladies can find out what activities are on the agenda for that month. It seems this might be a fruitful endeavor as the ladies showed an interest to have their own unity once again.

Finally Brethren, be ye all of one mind, live in peace, and may the God of love and peace delight to dwell with and bless you.
