The results of the Alberta Education Grades 3, 6, 9 Standardized Tests are in. These have been graphed and are available below. These results are used along with the results of previous years to help develop our programs. Our school has consistently performed very well related to provincial expectations for acceptable and excellent performance.

Results of the 3, 6, 9, tests are to be interpreted within the context of factors such as a close examination of students’ personal academic histories, the programming approaches that were designed to meet student needs, improvement and learning over the year, academic support that was given, etc. We offer a school program that meets the needs of individual students and helps them to achieve their full potential. When class sizes are small, a few academically strong students can produce dramatically positive results one year and another group of students who struggle can produce different results the next. In accordance with the provinces policy we do not publicize results for classes smaller than 6 students. Results can fluctuate considerably from one year to the next based on the students that are in the classes. The school develops the programs to meet the needs of the students in the classes so that they can achieve to their full potential. This usually results in outstanding performance on the standardized test.

The results that are graphed and available on this web site indicate the standardized test results for the past five years. Living Waters Christian Academy’s results are compared to the results of the province. According to Alberta Education information at least 85% of Albertan students should be achieving the Acceptable standard and at least 15% of Albertan students should be achieving the standard of Excellence. Where the statistics and graph indicate that 100% have achieved Acceptable and 25% have achieved Excellence the 25% are included in the 100% but have also surpassed it.
