Terence Go graduated from the University of Toronto in with an Hon. B.A. specialist degree in English Lit. His passion for writing began in elementary school where he wrote a poem that addresses the homeless issue, entitled "Lady by the Bridge", for his school's anthology. Without any formal training in drama, Terence took to the stage in highschool by performing dramatic monologues at the regional school board level for four consecutive years. Most often, the characters he portrayed were wild, humourous, and mentally unstable. In his sophmore year at the University of Toronto, Terence first read his poetry at LGBTOUT's Q-Xtravaganza and just prior to graduating, he performed at the Broken Rhythms Broken Rhymes reading at Hart House alongside the poetic15 (now poesis), a group of poets who were brought together by a creative writing course at the U of T. Currently, Terence enjoys performing at various open mics around Toronto, such as the Syntactic Sunday Series at the Free Times Café on College St. and the Casa Café on Yonge. In the summer of 2000, he will be performing at the upcoming Fruitloops Youth Cabaret at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. Terence G0's self-published, début collection, bEaTing OuT tHE kInX, approaches relationships and sexuality from a highly rhythmical place, using a mosaic of rhymes to sing the praises of his urban paradise.
