"Come in", she heard her boss say brightly. "Ah, Mr Hunter, let me show you to your office". "Office?" she thought, "Hmmm, I wouldn't mind getting to know him over the fax machine".
The two men walked past and Maria's and the young man's eyes locked. His mouth formed a smile and turning to the boss he asked who she was.
Maria was fuming, she'd worked so hard for that promotion, and for nothing.
She stood up and saw his eyes glance over her body.
"Come this way", she ordered. Matthew followed her with slight uneasiness. "Listen" he said, "are you sure you're okay?" "No" she said, "this was meant to be my job, my office, my promotion. I worked bloody hard for it too. And this is all the thanks I get". "Oh" he gasped, "I'm sorry, I didn't know" "Yeah well, I guess it doesn't matter now".
Maria wandered back to her desk with a heavy heart.
Matthew looked out of the window and sighed. Of course he felt sorry for Maria but he'd taken the job in good faith and wasn't about to give it up for anyone, however pretty they were. He looked at Maria and felt the stirrings in his loins, and he'd felt it when they'd met at the desk, and she'd looked up at him with her deep blue eyes. He'd never felt this level of attraction and it frightened him ever so slightly. Maria sat at her desk and typed into her computer diary. "Listen" he said, "I'm sorry about the job, but I honestly didn't know" "It's okay", she said, "I guess they thought I didn't have enough experience". "Hmm but you have a lot of experience in other ways". He smiled and touched her skin.
Matthew gently kissed Maria and stood up, pulling his clothes back on. As Maria put her clothes on she smiled and said
"Welcome to the company!".
