February 1999

February 13, 1999
Yeah, yeah, it's been a while since I last wrote. Number 1, I haven't had time, and number 2, I haven't had much to say.
I have had a few things though, and that is why I have written.
First thing is a quote I read the other day.
"Small is the number of them that see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts."
--Albert Einstein
Not only was Mr. Einstein a brilliant physicist, but a part-time phlilosopher. Most of what he had to say would be what I consider a knick-knack..jewels of truth, making him not exactly like a philosopher, but intelligent just the same.
Albert Einstein from what I understand was a little of an agnostic, believing in a god, but not God. That doesn't prevent his point from being applicable in Christian life.
Small is the number of them that see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts. It's absolutly true. I meet a striking number of Christians who have been love-bombarded all their lives, but who have no real idea and no real desire to have any idea of who their God really is. They know a couple of verses, go to camps, go to church, then grow up to live lives of spirtiual mediocracy because of a lack of basis. They have not seen with their own eyes and felt with their own hearts. Rather, they have relied upon the experiences and ideas of others to dictate what they see and feel, and in the end, what they think and how they live.
