Teachers' resources

This link will take you to the gopher site, Indonesian Language Resources, I began in Tasmania. Some useful text-only things for would-be or practising teachers, several folders never got anything in them - sorry! Of all the school directories, only the middle primary has an entry. Your contributions are welcome for a new upgraded website.
But perhaps we would all do better to contribute to the terrific INDOLINX  site at the Victorian Department of School Education. Intended to become a national clearing house for Indonesian language resources for Australian school students. Features: Interactive Story Writing at various grade levels; Teacher Talk Page; Student Work Online; list of registered schools; resources to use in "kelas bahasa Indonesia" at all levels! Even a Frames-based online test. Jempolan!

Kambing produce the 6 bahasa Video education titles, Si Kambing magazine, and two CD's as well as books and wall charts and card games.

The Lontar Foundation is worth a special mention. There are many interesting sub-sections, eg on an oral traditions festival, activities, about the Foundation and its goals, also publications list.

Sydney University is home to half a dozen great Indonesian teachers and researchers as well as some useful information on the Web page. The Indonesian Society site they point to is a gem with catchy java graphics advertising the obrolan section wherein were long interviews with Mochtar Lubis on the "pers yang nggih-nggih pada eksekutif", with the Governor of East Java and academics and others of varied persuasions. Also information about Sydney U's intensive in-country programs at Salatiga. [Note: Sydney Uni's web site in general is really professional and easy to navigate. Brilliant programmer Michelle Lenin in Arts is worth a visit if you're into Computer Assisted Language learning. Most everything digital in the French area is her implementation of the concepts of head of department Marie-Therese Barbaux-Couper, both of whom have been helpful to me over several years. Et je les remercie bien!]
