Computer Science I in TLC-3:

PREREQUISITES

Successful completion of Algebra I and a prior programming course.

OVERVIEW

Computer Science I emphasizes problem solving and structured programming practices in the Pascal language. Social implications, the inner workings of the computer, and applications are integrated into the course.

OBJECTIVES

The student will be able to:

i. demonstrate the ability to define and analyze problems in order to develop algorithms to solve them;

ii. select and develop appropriate data structures to solve problems;

iii. write blocks of Pascal code using modular, structured programming techniques;

iv. demonstrate the ability to implement algorithms to produce a documented and well-tested solution;
