Watershed Project

 Eight Birch Earth class is doing an ongoing Watershed Study on the Brodhead Creek.

In science class students are going in the field to gather data on macroinvertibrates,water & air temperature and water quality. We test at three main sites - Marshalls Creek, Buttermilk Falls, Shawnee Roller Rink.

In Geography class students are learning to use GPS units to find their exact latitude and longitude of the sites where data is collected. Back in the computer lab we will be creating a web page using ArcView GIS software to make a map of the watershed along with tables/graphs/pictures.
