My practice has been with Maezumi Roshi's lineage, which came from both Rinzai and Soto
school of Japanese Zen.

Some Zen vocabularies :
Roshi: master
Sensei: teacher
Abbot: head teacher of the center or temple
Sesshin: intense practice period or retreat (usually 5 to 7 days)
Zen: meditation - (cha'n - Chinese, Thien - Vietnamese)
Zazen: sitting meditation
Kinhin: walking meditation
Daisan: interviews with zen teacher, sensei - (or Dokusan with Roshi)
Ango: 90 day training period
Orioky: zen ritual meal
