The Nazareth Home, in its sixth year of operation, is located in Macon and is sponsored by the Savannah Catholic Diocese, serving the entire area from Savannah to the Florida line, to Augusta, to Columbus and Albany. It cares for pregnant women of all faiths who live at the Home. During the 1997-98 year it served 24 women with an average age of 17.2 years, in an age range from 14-25. The Home is a charity with a staff directed by Sister Mary Shea, D.C.
The Home seeks donations, including the following Wish List:
For the residents: Nightgowns, robes, purses, underwear, T-Shirts (M,L,XL), gym bags, book bags, umbrella, socks, mittens/gloves, small radios, towels/sheets sets, maternity bras, and gift boxes of lotion/powder/perfumes/etc.
For the babies: Diapers, T-shirts (onezess), nightgowns, nail clippers, crib sheets, blankets, towels, car seats, socks, toiletries, ooutfits, booties, bottles, bath tubs, baby wipes, diaper bags.
For the Home: Large serving bowls, desk chairs, student desks for residents, comforters (single beds).
