The Story

Useless Jargon was once the most successful online publication to originate from Cole Harbour. It's combination of sweet charm, strong opinions and fearless writers willing to go to any lengths for a response meant hits, hits, hits. It's focus on real content, not cutesy graphics meant a revolution for the good in our quick-fix, style over substance world. But, like all good things, it came to an end after 66 classic issues. The staff dispersed to the ends of the earth, with Thursday taking up missionary work in France, Sammmy taking up the missionary position (probably) in York, and Mr. Downtown downtowning it up in Victoria.

But wait... one staffer is still in Cole Harbour! One staffer wants to see the legend reborn, and publish new issues in the greatest tradition of "old school" UJ. And that staffer is yours truly, John DeWolfe, henceforth to be known by his new nickname as UJ editor-in-chief, Mr. Adaquete.

I hope you enjoy what you see here. I hope I have recaptured the spirit of lost innocence that once made UJ more than a great e-zine, that made it part of a Cole Harbour artisitic and social movement. Despite my being an unfunky white boy, I hope I've captured the same subtle wit and joie-de-vivre of my great predecessor, Douglas Choo. And I hope, someday, to have the artistic talent of the great Graeme MacDonald, despite being unable to draw between the lines. And, if the surgery takes, I hope to someday have the incredible three foot long penis of Daniel Hicks. In short, I hope to bring you, dear readers, the best of what was UJ in this new run. Expect an update each Thursday once the word gets out... and guys, please forgive me for stealing all the formatting. My people and your people will talk. God bless...
