My name is Ana. I am author, editor, and librarian. This is my home page. I hope you enjoyed my poems and those of the other authors. I spent a lot of time on this site. I never thought I would have so much fun on the web. I never used to use a computer for more than solitare and the occaisional paper. Now, it sucks me into it's world on a regular basis...must fight the swirling vortex around this black hole....
Oh well, it's more fun to just go with it....now, about me. . .
I was a History and Chinese major at the University of Iowa. I consider my degree(s) a work in progress. Okay, now I will admit its most likely a work never to be completed. I am now living in Las Vegas, NV. This is my second go round with Las Vegas. I am living alone this time. Zoey (Toby) is back in Iowa. I am not all alone though. I have my cute kitty, George.
I was working for Sally Beauty Supply back home, but I missed my little shop in Vegas, so when they called me to come back....I jumped on it. Now I'm working as the manager at The Studio, again. It is the physical home of PES. The store specializes in fetish clothing and accessories plus the products that PES is known for. You'll have to check out the web site to understand. I can tell you that I tend to find myself talking about sex in some shape or form almost without realizing it. I blame it on work. ;-)
In my spare time I listen to a lot of music and either play on my computer or read a good book or watch movies. I listen to just about any music. As long as there is no "twang" or praises to God, I'll listen to it, or at least give it a fair hearing. I listen mostly to Marilyn Manson, NIN, Caroline's Spine, Our Lady Peace, Tori Amos, AFI, Staind, Cold, Bowling for Soup, Alien Ant Farm, Evanescence, Jewel, Live, Matchbox 20, Cradle of Filth, Lords of Acid, Billy Joel, Green Day, Jethro Tull, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Simon and Garfunkel, Peter Paul and Mary, Vivaldi, Stravinsky, etc., etc., etc. .
In books, as long as there are words on a page I will attempt to read it. I won't always like it, but I'll give it a chance. But I do have a strong weakness for Laurell K. Hamilton. She writes the most fantastic and erotic vampire series. And she also writes another series centered around the Fey. She is a fantastic author. Another of my favorite authors is Elizabeth Peters. She writes the funniest, yet most addicting mystery novels I have ever read. I just love her. 
Movies are usually the same way. I do have my favorites. I am a fan of any and all Sean Connery and Cary Grant films. I also adore Jason Patric. My all time favorite movie is "Kiss Me Kate". I also am fond of "The Lost Boys", all James Bond movies, "The Highlander", "Charade", "The Joy Luck Club", and "The Princess Bride".
I have a lot of interests and tidbits of knowledge tucked away inside my head. My poems are only a part of what goes on inside my brain. If I had the technical knowledge, I even have an idea for a video game. But I'm pretty technically inept. You should see the stack of notes I have handy just to put this site together.
