| Located on beautiful Kiawah Island, SC this
absolutely spectacular course was the host of the Ryder Cup 1991. Situated directly on the
ocean shore, it is build in the dunes with a gorgeous view of the atlantic ocean from
every hole. We were so astonished due to the beauty of the course, that we could hardly
concentrate on playing golf. The most stunning hole is the 13th par 4 with 404 yards,
where it is necessary to drive the ball at least 190 yards over water onto a pretty narrow
fairway to have a 7 iron left to reach the beautiful green. Due to a lot of doglegs and
blind shots we recommend buying a course book before playing. We will never forget this

Nestled along the Intracoastal
Waterway of Cherry Grove in Myrtle Beach, SC lies astonishingly beautiful Tidewater golf
course, where the quiet of the woods let you forget the rush and hectic of Myrtle Beach.
We were able to enjoy this peacefulness in the early morning, when the starter let us go
out on the back nine with nobody in front of us. Wide fairways, lots of trees and wetland
are the characteristics of this stunning course. As it lies near the ocean, wind is
definitively a factor when you attempt to reach the green. At the 12th hole, per instance,
a 229 yard par 3 over the marshland, even with the wind blowing, you have to get the ball
straight onto the green, or it will be lost in the marsh. |

| Located in Gulf shores, AL this 27 hole course
is really worth the trip to Alabama. Lots of well placed bunkers and water make this
course challenging and fun to play. It is rather easy for high handicappers (although
Iris's HCP was only 32 by then she scored a 100 and had a lot of fun), but it challenges
you from the back tees (as the gentleman who joined us shot a 79 with his HCP 3).
Any combination of the 3 courses is possible and each has a different layout, but you

Situated at the I 10 between Pensacola, Fl and Mobile, Al Timbercreek Golf course is the perfect place for a great stop on your way to New Orleans (at least, we did). This spectacular 27 hole course is nestled in wooden terrain in the midst of the beautiful Alabama hills. Our selection of the 3 courses were magnolia and dogwood, which are challenging as well as relaxing and quit. The most characteristic thing about the course are definitively the trees, which come into play on every single hole and demand exact shot placement. | Nearly an hours drive out of Myrtle Beach, SC
lies this golfers gem. The Long Bay Club is surely worth the trip, anytime you are in
Myrtle Beach. We played it at 7 AM, when the fog was still on the grass and started at the
10th par 4 Jack Nicklaus signature hole. The course is really tough with its well placed
bunkers and a total length of 7000 yards from the back tees. We agree to the opinion, that
it is better to score 5 shots over your HCP here, then 4 shots below it on any other
course. Although we played a really good round from the blue/white tee boxes we scored 2
shots over our HCP each. It was a great morning and we enjoyed the spectacular course, the
