Rules

While the rules of cross country croquet don't vary greatly from the original rules of croquet, there are some minor alterations and additions that we have made to better suit the beast. Our game is based on the standard, American, backyard croquet rules. This an important specification for those of you who are odd enough to be familiar with the more "official" and tournament style rules; among other differences, these rules turn croquet into a team sport. While we're sure cross country croquet could be adapted into a team sport, it is intended to be played as a competition among individuals. For those of you who are unfamiliar with croquet itself, or would like to be refreshed on its standard rules, feel free to go to http://www.arl.wustl.edu/~brian/Croquet/rules.html.
