In all reality, I do not recommend VISA. I recommend the Delta SkyMiles American Express. Yes, it will cost you $85 per year, but you get 10,000 miles for signing up, one mile per dollar you spend, and two miles per dollar you spend on Delta tickets. This is a big bonus if you travel a good bit. If you don't, I would suggest getting a free Visa or MasterCard with some sort of reward program. These cards are more readily accepted than AmEx, anyway.
