Known by the people of the alternative scene since the period of its appearance, seven years ago, in England. Cure is today one of the most commented groups of the new rock, getting in Brazil such success that frightened Robert Smith, leader and vocalist that adores football, mainly the brazilian.
But is all this safe or just an idiom? Do Cure really deserves our trust, in a replete musical world of of frames as Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Doctor & The Medics among other deceivers?
My opinion cannot be the same that one of the other people, but Cure really deserves our trust. The group is in such situation due to its own merits. It worked a lot and for those seven long years it just had the support of a reduced, even so faithful, public, once the press - british and american - never cared so much about the band work. We can affirm that exists very more conviction and truth in the Bob Smith words and gestures than in most of the current groups that are guaranteed much more in their visual aspect that in the music.

The fact is that Cure continues the same since the beginning. Simple, depressing, dançing, irresponsible and, mainly, it has a absolutely particular style . Before Cure, a similar band didn't exist and now there is not any copy that is close them. But the big incognito is: How will the next album be? Will Bob and his friends sell themselves?
About the rumor of The Cure coming to Brazil, desire came from Robert doesn't lack. What is lacking are dates in the disputed group calendar of shows. As informed the recording company, it is probable that Bob Smith comes alone first to do promotions in radios and TVs. We will believe in more a promise that they do for us.
