The Best Rock For More Than 20 Thousand People

In the Saturday night, when The Cure accomplished its second and last presentation in Porto Alegre, it was definitively marked the success of this group among the youths of here. More than twenty thousand people, in most adolescents, invaded Gigantinho since 19:30h pm when the gates were open - to scatter for the bleachers, floors, chairs, runners, finally where it was possible to be somebody, in order to check the expected show of the english band.
Exactly at 21:00h pm, the lights of the gym faded, to be of fund The Cure sound only. From that moment the presentation of a very defined repertoire began, that always showed a band great success followed by a music non hit song. This way the show maintained the same synchronism for some time, not exploding. Which just happened at 21:35h pm when they began to play "The Walk". In that instant, the leader Mr. Smith, accompanied by Simon Gallup, Porl Thompson, Boris Willians and Lol Tolhurst, hallucinated the public that did dance franticly, just stopping when Robert Smith, among a music and other, talked to the public. In the set list, the presence of "A Night Like This", "Kyoto Song", "Strange Day", "100 Years", "Charlotte Sometimes", "Close To Me" among others, in a total of more than twenty music.
The group left the stage for four times to come back soon after and to generate a total delirium. And at each return, public and band were shown themselves more lively and involved. They were impeccable during the whole show, proving for everybody why they are successes in the whole globe. The girls cried and were exposed to an infernal heat in the hope of getting to arrive close to idols. But nobody got...
As the local temperature was scalding and there was not space to move, it was natural that some people felt reactions. In agreement with the nurses and doctors, twenty-five people were helped by faintings, nauseas and pressure fall.
If inside of the gym it was intense the movement, the climate was also same outside. The guard-bodies had a lot of work to contain the people that were in the street...
Inside of Gigantinho, a lot of people conformed to dance without be seeing the group, because the lights and other paraphernalia obscured the five members. And a lot of people complained on that. Even if recognizing that the show was perfect.
