The Rogue River

One of the "Original 8" rivers designated under the 1968 Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, the Rogue lives true to its name. The Rogue River cuts through the Cascades and the Coast Range as it makes its way from Boundary Springs to Gold Beach. The Rogue is one of the last great salmon fishing rivers in the Lower 48, and sports world-class whitewater up and down its length. Jet boats expose tourists to the lower Rogue, travelling 52 miles inland on daily excursions from Gold Beach. Click the image bar on the left to get a feel for the Wild and Scenic Rogue River.
