Warn HS9500i install

First I needed to modify the KMA Wincher.

The mounting plates are too short for the winch to clear the grill.

So the next step was to hack off the short plates.

Here is a shot of how the winch sets in the bumper.

Did some body trimming to the front corners while I had is all apart.

Before I cut the corners.

And after the trim, much better!

Ok here is an under shot of the new mounting plates.

Look at the top right of the pic. I added a gusset on each side of the winch mount plate so that when in use that plate won't flex. Right to the left of that gusset you can see the new weld were I added the longer mounting plates. After a few beers I got a little crazy with the flat black and started painting everything!! hehehe Ho well rust prevention!!

OK now that's what I wanted it to look like!!

I added the two LightForce 5" lights. They are very light weight and made out of plastic on steroids. So the company clamed they are the toughest on the market. They are made in Australia.

I'll have to get a better pic on here so you can see the lights better.

I tried to keep it less than an inch away from the grille.

Well, one mod at a time year after year and my vision or dream rig is finnaly starting to look like something!
