I enlisted into the Delayed Entry Progam (DEP) of The United States Air Force in November of 1998. I left for Basic Military Training (BMT) at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas on March 3, 1999. Upon completion of BMT in April of 1999 I was sent to tec school. This was also located at Lackland Air Force Base. The tec school I attended was the Security Forces Course. I completed this course July 9, 1999. This course allowed me to obtain my Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 3P051. I reported to my first duty station, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio on July 25, 1999. Where I was assigned to the 88th Security Forces Squadron. I graduated 7-level school Novemeber 24, 2004 and recieved my new AFSC 3P071.

My first deployment was to Prince Sultan Air Base (PSAB), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from May 19, 2001 to July 6, 2001. I was assigned to the 363d Expeditionary Civil Engineering Squadron as a Force Protection Escort. This was in support of Operation Southern Watch. I was award the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Air Force Outstanding Unit with Valor for this deployment. Was promoted to Senior Airman (E-4) on July 3, 2001 during this deployment.

From November 25, 2001 to February 25, 2002 I was deployed to Curacao, Netherland Antilles. I was assigned to Detachment 5, 612th Air Support Squadron, 612th Air Base Wing. This was in support of Operation Constant Vigil and Operation Inca Gold. This deployment will probly be the best of my Air Force Career.

From August 5, 2002 to November 28, 2002 I was deployed to Al Dhafra Air Base, U.A.E. I was assigned to the 380th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron. This mission was in support of Operation Southern Watch and Operation Enduring Freedom. On this deployment I found out that I had made Staff Sgt (E-5) with a line number of 13,044. I was awarded my second Air Force Outstanding Unit with Valor for this deployment.

From October 31, 2003 to March 2004 I was deployed to Balad, Iraq. I was assigned to the 332nd Detachment 1 Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron. This mission was in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. This was the first full rotation into the base for the United States Air Force. It was an interesting deployment in that you could see how the base transformed itself from the bare base environment into a full functional logistical support hub. I was awarded the Meritorious Unit Award for this deployment.

From February 20, 2006 to September 22, 2006 I was deployed to Al Dhafra Air Base, U.A.E. I was assigned to the 380th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron. This mission was in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. On this deployment I was part of moving an entire base a few miles in one night. Can you say an interesting evening.

On February 5, 2007 I ended my military career by opting not to reenlist. On February 7, 2007 I was award The Air Force Achievement Medal for my last three years time in service.
