RIDES Part 2
This is Joe's 1991 S-10. He put his near-stock truck in a local show for fun, where he met up with the Slow Draggin Car/Truck Club and became a member. First things first, Joe dropped his truck 4/6 with help from Belltech 2 inch spindles and coils in the front and 3 inch leafs and 3 inch blocks in the rear. After that, he ordered a Sir Michaels rollpan and a flip kit for the tailgate handle. Then came the clear taillights and 3rd brake light. Seeing that his truck looked great, he wanted some performance upgrades to make it run great as well. This was achived through a 3 chamber Flowmaster muffler, a custom 3 inch intake and a K&N filter. Next came the sunroof and the Custom 16x7 rims riding in 215/50/16 Firetone treads. The cab houses a Rockford Fosgate 2.6x amp, 6.5 components, a Pioneer head unit, and 4 8 inch XLC subs behind the seats. Joe, this is what I want my truck to look like!!
Here we have is Joey's bagged 91 S-10. Joey belongs to a truck club in Virginia called Northern Virginia Hilo Truckers. Along with the suspension, Joey has a fully customized interior and bed, with a bass port between the seats. And by the looks of it, he has got himself some shiny new wheels as well. Joey just sold this truck to some guy in Maryland, and has started on a 98 S-10 SS. He has promised (Right, Joey?) to send pics of this truck when he gets them. So far he has a Rhino liner, a Flowmaster muffler, a K&N filter, and some handmade under-the-hood stainless steel. I don't know about you, but I am ready to see the pictures!
Here we have Jonathan's 98 S-10 extended cab. He says it doesn't sport a lot of mods, but I say it looks great. First of all, the color is sweet, we all know it is better than mine. This truck sports a 3/4 drop and inch Eagle Alloys (model 203) wrapped in some 225/45/17 tires up front and 255/45/17 treads in the back. Jon, make sure to keep me posted with new pics and mods, you have a beautiful project to work on.
Here is Brian's 84 Blazer. He has been trying to send me this for awhile. It sports a 2/2 Belltech drop as well as Z28 rims and 225/60/15 tires on the corners. The 2.8L V6 remains nearly stock, but Brian wants to drop in a 5.7L V8 small block. I'm waiting for that to be done so he can send me pics. Also on his to-do list are a 4 link airbag, and new paint. I hear ya on the new paint, my truck is brown...nuff said. Keep me posted on the changes to your Blazer, Brian.
This is "Old Guy's" 94 GMC. He has done quite a bit with this thing. First, the drop is not common, a 3/7 with Chisolm control arms and bags in the rear. With those bags are AIM (AIM?! Ack!) ladder bars. He says they fit well, which is good. The hood is a C-tech Ram Air hood, and he has added a functional ram air system. The tail lights (not shown, for you dense people) are from a 91 Caddilac. What else... The grill and bumper are both homemade. The engine now has Crane 1.6:1 roller rockers, Edelbrock headers and a Auburn Posi with 3.73:1 gears. Roland says he wants to put in a ATI intercooled supercharger (Jaw dropping) for a few added horsies...like 100 or so. Nice truck!
Sometimes you see a truck and you are just in awe. This is one of those trucks. This is George's sweet fullsize. Shall we start with the mods (most of which were done at the Chop Shop in So Cal)? The lowering job is achieved with 2 inch drop spindles and air bags at the corners. The body is well groomed, sporting shaved tailgate, tail lights, antenna, and 3rd brake light which has been frenched in. Those great looking wheels are 20 inch (!) chrome Antera type 143. Lastly, the front is adorned with a billet grille. fiberglass Smoothie front bumper and a new emblem. This truck is beautiful! Thanks for sending this one in!
Here's a nice change. Instead of a slammed mini, Will has decided to make his S-10 an off-road vehicle. The fenders are all fiberglass, and Will is working on the front and rear bumper. The brakelines are now stainless steel, he has headers by tfx, and soon the head is going to be ported and polished along with a higher flow cat, fuel injectors, fuel pump, and a full exhaust. Will is doing all of this work himself, so he can only go so fast. Inside, there are beard bucket seats with 5 point harnesses. When this all gets done, Will is going to have one nice off-road truck! Keep me posted.
