Be Prepared!
There are lots of trails around the beach and many that also hook up with the Juan De Fuca Trail. Always check the signs and know where you are going!

Before hiking out here (even if its a day hike) let someone know where you are and when you should be home!  This region is prone to sudden storms that can create turmoil and cause injuries.
Below is a quick list of things you should bring with you, if you must go and see this wonderous place for yourself!

-FOOD and WATER!               (Always pack extra in case of an Emergency)
-Layers Extra Clothing               (sudden temperature  changes happen FAST!)
-Pots, pans, cup& stove
-Sunglasses
-Sun screen
-CHAPSTICK
-Plastic bags
(For garabage or food, it may get wet)
-First Aid kit
-Tissue, TP
(toilet paper, for you novices)
-Appropriate foot wear         
   (M - hiking boot)
-Extra, extra socks
-Waterproof matches
-Pocket knife
-Map and compass
-Flash light

(The wind can pick up     sudenly here!)

depending on what your planning-snacks to a light lunch. Always carry some type of granola bar for emergency.
