CV4W TO TACKLE MOAB UPDATED

Many of you have, by now, heard the latest, newest idea yet to come out of our club.
Well here's the low down. May or June 1998, Cumberland Valley is going to Moab! Here's how.
We will fly from Washington Dulles airport to Salt Lake City, Utah. Plane fare is only $226
per person round trip. We will rent cars or a van for the scenic four hour drive to Moab.
Once in Moab, we will rent however many Jeeps we need at a rate of $79/day.
If there are four to a Jeep, then the rate is only $20 per person per day.
We can do this!! We can either stay in a hotel or camp. We will make this two or
three days of fourwheeling with a travel day on both ends. The people at the Jeep rental
place are fourwheelers themselves. They were very nice, very knowledgeable and fully
understand that we will be trail riding these vehicles. Save your money. This trip is
very doable and is a definite go. we need to know a head count as soon as possible to get
the good rates. Jon Kann is in charge of organizing this event. We will decide definite
dates at the next meeting. Lastly if we get 12 or more people, we get a 15% discount each
off the plane fare. Lets go conquer the slickrock.

THE DATE HAS BEEN SET FOR THE RUN TO MOAB IN 1998. JUNE 11TH
THROUGH THE 15TH. GET READY FOR A WILD ONE. JON KANN IS HEADING
UP THIS EVENT. ANYONE INTERESTED SHOULD CONTACT HIM RIGHT NOW
TO RESERVE A PLACE

CLUB T-SHIRT ORDERS STILL BEING ACCEPTED

Jon Kann is still accepting orders for the new style CV4W shirts and sweatshirts. We have to reach a minimum to place an order and we are still a few orders shy. Anyone interested can contact Jon at 540-678-9157. Costs to members are still $10 for t-shirts and $15 for sweats.

FEBURARY TRAILRIDE

Valley Trail Association will be holding a hardcore winter trailride on the 7th of February. This is a difficult trailride and certain modifications will be required. There will be a vehicle inspection prior to leaving. Requirements include at least one differential locker, 33 inch tires, roll bar, and a few others. We have been invited to attend this trip, but it will be limited to 15 vehicles and they already have 7 or so. If interested, contact Buddy Nesbitt with VTA at 814-834-6186.
