Shelby Series 1 [road signature]
This time the twin stripes represent history. Carol Shelby designed yet another sophisticated machine in the Series 1 and if you can afford it he'll even teach you how to drive it fast on his Las Vegas racetrack.
Cadillac Deville [jada toys]
1959 was a good year for the Caddy and Jada Toys 'dub' ed this 1/24 scale model out with 20 inch rims and a crazy huge sound system.
Chrysler Pronto Cruiser [maisto]
Just when we thought we were never going to buy another prototype diecast model this one fell into our hands. For now we're getting used to its retro bold styling and funky yellow paint job.
Ferrari 360 Modena Spyder [hot wheels]
The exterior and engine bay details on this 1:18 diecast are exceptional. Sharp lines along with smooth edges are its strengths. It really does look like a $ 180,000.00 rocket.
Subaru Impreza WRX [maisto]
You won't find many 1:24 scale diecasts in our collection but this one is definitely the favorite. This model is wearing aftermarket 17" rims on low profile rubber. Fits well on any desk.
BMW Z8 [maisto]
This bimmer surprisingly has a very detailed interior. As well it's the heaviest diecast in the collection. Maisto jammed packed metal into the Z8 and we're glad they did.
Porsche 911 GT2 [Anson Racing]
This is the cheapest model in the bunch. The exterior fairs well but the interior is awful. The UT models version of this is 100% better. I guess I shouldn't complain since we only paid ten bucks for it.
Mercedes Benz CLK GTR [maisto]
The street version of this CLK is low, wide, and all muscle. This thing is so big that it needs its own pedestal. You can find this diecast around for a reasonable price so make some room in your house and pick one up.
'92 Corvette ZR-1 [maisto]
The ZR-1 Corvette was the very first 1:18 diecast model of our collection. Supposedly finding these brand new in their original boxes is not that easy. I guess if there is a will there is a way to get it. For now we just want to add the C5 to the group.
Mercedes Benz ML320 [maisto]
This benz is one of our favorite models. Metallic green, off-road accessories, rock solid plastic grey seats... who could ask for more?
Hummer Turbo Diesel Wagon [maisto]
Toys "R" Us suddenly received a massive shipment of humvees and it was so hard to decide on which type to buy. There were soft tops, truck format, military, rally editions, etc. We finally forked out the cash for the classic jet black wagon. It's SwEet!
'92 Toyota Land Cruiser [RoadTough]
We scored this rare diecast from a shop in West Edmonton Mall. The interior detail stands out even though the exterior quality is below average. The current condition of the model : write-off.
Ferrari 355 Spyder [UT models]
My brother, Tyler, got milked on the purchase of this beauty. In the end we decided to stop sulking about paying so much and realized that this Unique Toys first edition was the first f355 produced. No other company made the f355 until '99.
Porsche Boxster Prototype [maisto]
We got our hands on this model sometime around December of '96. It's great looking although the final design changed in many areas from this prototype. It still passes as the original boxster concept design so we're keeping this for a while.
Ferrari 550 Maranello [maisto]
Ok, this for the records is the nicest diecast from Maisto we've ever bought. Just look at the rims and disk brakes.
Ford F-150 Regular Cab [ertl]
Everyone got a good kick out of seeing the picture we took of this hard working truck. The Subaru made a perfect road for this truck and I must admit that it looks pretty real.
Dodge Viper GTS [bburago]
I think everyone has at least one Viper model in their house whether it be a 1:18 or smaller. If you're an executive that has a 1:1 ..... I hope you're happy.
Mustang Mach III Prototype [maisto]
We've had this diecast for years. But are they ever going to bring this out in real life? News is that this prototype was canned to bring in the latest 2005 retro design. Sounds good to us.
Dodge Copperhead Concept [maisto]
Everyone is anticipating the arrival of the Copperhead Concept Car. Did someone say it's going to have a V10? We picked this one up for $15.00 Cdn from the Real Canadian Superstore. It sure does make a nice desk ornament.
