Hello, you've reached the Leader Bike USA Racing Team. Our major races include the Tour of Walla Walla and Race Across America. RAAM, as Race Across America is commonly known, started June 18th in Portland, OR. Barret Fishner and I, Chris Sandmel, became the youngest to ever finish in a time of just over 9 days. We took 1st place in our age division and 3rd overall in the 2-person division. Of the 3 primes, we won the last 2 - Steamboat Springs to Leadville, CO, and the Mississipe prime. We were only 10 minutes short of winning the first prime.

One of the more important things we did was raise money for a worthwhile cause, the Washington Epilepsy Foundation. Through the support of those gracious enough to make pledges, we raised $1000 for the Foundation.

As RAAM 2002 fades further into history, this site will begin to change. Already it is hosting pictures of me, Chris, during my summer stay in Mongolia. Memories from Oregon State University are being posted as they're made. Feel free to check in at any time however, because we still ride Leader Bike!

Check back frequently for updates. If you want info related to the Cascade High School Cycling Club - our old club, please go here.
