In 1996, I made the quilt that I call "Louis' Window". Using the windows of the house on Divisadero, I made the pattern, bought the fabric and started sewing.




I was fortunate enough to meet Anne Rice on the "Servant of the Bones" interstate tour, when Anne was in Dayton, Ohio, on September 1, 1996. She was kind enough to sign my quilt, sign some first editions that I brought with me, and had one of her "angels" take photographs.

Waiting in line at a booksigning can become a "golden" opportunity to make new friends. Here are Tim and Joe in front of the SotB bus. These two musicians from Youngstown, Ohio wrote a song called "The Dark Gift" and played it for Anne.
