My 350 4-bolt Main Engine Page

Below, are pictures of my 350 Engine, It is a 4-bolt main, as you can tell in the pictures. I purchased this from a Very good friend of mine, who I work with. I can hardly wait to put this motor in my 1980 Camaro. It will be fun to drive.

Above are pictures I took after I was taking the motor apart. I am going to have the Block Cleaned at a local shop. And to make sure it is in good shape. Then I will purchase my Kit, and start rebuilding. It is going to be a blast. No Doubt. The best Part is when I can put it in my Car. No doubt about it.

I Have had a few 4-bolt main blocks in my life. I once had a 1978 Camaro, I had a 350 4-bolt main engine, Back in the 80's, oil was not as good as it is today. Once I had 60 thousand miles on my engine, it was considered old. I would only rebuild the blocks I had only once. Due to the thickness of the cylinder walls, i could only rebuild once. Today engines last Much longer. I have a truck with 140 thousand miles on it. It has a V-6 engine with Vortek heads. It still purs like a kitten. Thanks for visiting my Engine Site.
