Eva came to us as a student in August  of 1996.
Although the main goal of her coming to America  was the perfection of her english,
She soon realised that  education should be her top priority. During her year she attended Central High School in Baton Rogue.  She was an honour student, a member of the  foreign language club, and played on the school's tennis team.  For tennis she earned a Letterman's jacket, which is only given for excellence. Eva was a very special part of our family, always joining in any activities we planned. During Easter break  she was able to see the north-west part of Arkansas, the mountains,
lakes, and meeting my family.  She loved trying all the
"Cajun" foods, but her down fall was DONUTS. She will always have a very special place in our hearts, and we miss her.

The Carpathian mountains are rich in natural resources and serve as an important location for agriculture, forestry, mining, and tourisim.
Overland travel through the mountains is facilitated by numerous narrow passes.
Many of the the regions inhabitants live in picturesque mountain villages, such as the one shown above.
