Paul's 5/13 Qualifying Night Flight with Ole from Hawthorne to San Bernadino, California

Ole's Comments: "Paul is training to get his pilot's license.
Last night I went with him on a night flight from LA to San Bernadino
and back. It was quite exciting. Paul is going to be a great pilot."

Paul's Comments: "The landing picture you see is at San Bernardino Airport.
It is an untowered airport (no control tower, planes "land as they please")
with a very large runway (10,000 ft x 180 ft). For comparison, the Space
Shuttle lands on a 15,000 ft x 300 ft runway. The plane we flew in has a
landing distance of less than 1000 ft. We turned on the runway lights by
clicking the radio seven times, else we would have been in the dark."
