What Makes Me Tick?

 I have a unique personality and perspective. Let me explain... I grew up the eldest of 4 children, and I'm the only girl. So, if you lend any credence whatsoever to the theororized relationships between birth order and personality: I am highly competitive, an overachiever, self-motivated, outgoing, and given to leadership roles (some might say "bossy"...) Oh well, its tough being nearly perfect... *G*

 Being the "Big" Sister to my three brothers was a formidble task, but one I was up for. At least until they all got bigger than me. Which is no small task! My entire family stands at 6 ft tall or better. {Yes, I played basketball and you are the 772,438th person to ask!} As a result of all this male influence in my life, I am an avid sports fan and athlete.

 I love to SCUBA dive, go sailing, and waterski. Yes, I love watersports! I work out regularly; weightlifting (not body-building), StairMaster, biking, swimming, and running (but only in the fairest of weather conditions). Notice anything unique about the last three? I'm thinking of competing in a triathlon next year.

 Its a good thing that I lead a very active lifestyle, becuase I love FOOD and all things related to it. I consider myself an "Amature Chef". Cooking is my hobby, therapy, and joy. I love to create new recipes, figure out what is in a dish, create healthy dishes that taste great, and I love to go out to gourmet restaurants to taste their fare and compare.

 When it comes to entertainment, be it TV, Movies, or Books, my favorite genres are Science Fiction and Gothic Horror. My favorite TV shows are Babylon 5, The X-Files, and Highlander. Who better to top my reading list than the Mistress of Gothic Horror herself, Anne Rice, and her Vampire Chronocles, with the Vampire Lestat.
