My name is Jan Koster. I am a biology student at the university of Utrecht in the Netherlands. Currently I am working on my second subject for my graduation (master's degree) at the Netherlands Cancer Institute.
It won't be of any surprise that this subject is in the field of integrins. I am working in the lab of Dr. Arnoud Sonnenberg under supervision of Dr. Dirk Geerts.
Before this subject, I have worked on fructans, which are fructose polymers that are found in a lot of plant genera. During this period I started my first homepage, which is about fructans. This page is called The Fructan Page and was the first homepage to be completely devoted to this subject.
As a hobby I have kept snakes now for some 10 years. Also about this subject I am building a homepage, but with lower priority. This page is called The Snake Page.
Another hobby of mine is to work with computers. I use them for my relaxation as well, to play some nice games. The subject of the last homepage that I am maintaining is providing solutions to adventure games. This page is called The Solution Page.
