Tina!

Where are you??? I miss you!!!

Yesterday I tutored this man that is deaf. He was really cool to work with; he had a really cool attitude, no matter how many times I couldn't understand him!

Things got a bit sticky for the Larsen family this week. Liz had planned this cider pressing thing at her house on Saturday, but the problem was, was that she only told us about it last saturday! By that time, my mom had already made plans with Maple Ridge. We are going up to that ecclesia this saturday to help them out with thier preaching campaign! I think we've nogotiated with Liz now though (I have a feeling that she is still a bit mad) and I think we are having her thing on Sunday...

Speaking about tight shedules, I just got an email from the Bartholemews (Nathan, etc) about McQueen Lake, the Youth camp that is held near Vernon (near Silver Star). I was suprised when it said that we had only 4 days left to register!!! Time flies. So Thamar quickly wrote an email back, saying that the 5 of us (including Kiwi) want to come.

We had the first night of the seminar yesterday night. We had about 8 people come, which was very good. It turned out very well, I think. I'd never seen the room, and I think I like it. There was one man there that I liked especially, he had a great sense of humor and seemed genuinly interested! We will see.

I had quite a interesting time getting to the seminar, though. I work until 7 pm normaally on a tuesday, but yesterday I asked my boss if i could get off at 6. She, of course, said yes (she's really nice that way). So I was home by 6:30, but by then my parents had already left for the seminar! My dad wanted to get there a little early (it starts at 7:30). They left me a note to say that I had to take the Dodge. So I grabbed some dinner and ran out the door. It was really foggy and rainy out, so the drive was not nice at all. But it got worse. At the entrance of the I-5, there was some kind of accident, and the entire on-ramp was closed! So I had to drive about half-way to Liz's house and take the on-ramp near her house to get on the I-5 - the detour cost me nearly 20 minutes! Thankfully, the rest of the way wasn't as bad, until I realized my lights wern't working properly! I could only get the brights to work, which of course irritated the other drivers. I think the problem is fixed now though - Dave went and fiddled with the car for a bit. The whole thing was a bit of a nightmare, though. Next week I'll definatly have to think of another plan!

Anyways, you must write me back sooooooooon!!!

Lovies, Namsie

"Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
