The 13th National Electric Flight Rally was held at the Illawarra Model Aero Club field, Berkeley, NSW on the Easter 2000 long weekend from Friday 21st through to Monday 24th. Approximately 40 pilots participated in one or more events throughout the weekend. The weather was dry and a little windy with temperatures in the low 20’s. The field was in excellent condition with sufficient mowed area to allow for changes to suit wind direction.
Although the competition program was tight, there were opportunities throughout the four days for general electric sports model flying.

(a) F5B 10 cell event: a mistake was found in the ranking (a mixup in the class entered by a contestant). The above table is now corrected with John Rourke at second place behind Brett Solanov and Michael Colston is dropped from previous 2nd to 3rd place (ie Richard Solomon dropped out the top 3 in this class. Sorry Richard :-( !)

F5B - 10 Cells: Brett Solanov of Figtree (NSW) was presented with a Supernova 1-25 Cell Automatic 10 memory Battery Charger donated by Model Engines of Victoria.
F5B - Open (1100g max battery): Gregg Voak of West Leederville (WA) was presented with an Orbit Microlader Pro 8amp/32 Cell Automatic Battery Charger, valued at $565, donated by Orbit (Germany) via M Racing Australia (TAS).
