Martian Time Website |
The majestic volcanoes of Elysium dominate the subcontinent named in their honour, their summits reaching high above the breathable zone of the atmosphere. Further north is Phlegra, a mountainous island the size of Britain. It's a popular trekking area, although it must be said that part of the attraction are the pubs and taverna's of World's End, where most of the treks end. The Garden and New South France are the most important wine producing areas on Mars; you shouldn't leave the planet without trying the supurb Chateau Bradbury Rouge (red wines are still favourite, in spite of the greening) Lake Elysium is another warm palm-fringed inland sea. Spectacular fireworks mark the end of summer in Aitken on every 27th of Larno. |
