History

Technical Research Corporation (TRC) was founded in 1987 by Captain J.J. Herzog USN (Ret), after retiring from BDM. After establishing a reputation for exceptional translations he died of cancer of the pancreas. His widow requested that Colonel W P Schneider USA (Ret) take over and reduce to zero strength. In the process TRC agreed to take members of the Air Staff to Moscow to meet the Russian Air Staff (1992). This was done and while doing it TRC acquired a reputation for having contacts in Moscow, Kiev, and other areas of the FSU. TRC was then asked to acquire things and technology for industry and the US Government. TRC determined that for the acquisition of technology in the R&D world, it was better to be a non-profit organization. Technical Research Institute (TRI) was set up (registered in Virginia) for this purpose in 1993. While small, TRC/TRI has extensive contacts and friends in the R&D community in the fSU. We have acquired both technology and hardware for a wide variety of research and commercial interests.
