The Waipara Vintage Festival

Welcome to my webpage on the Waipara Vintage Festival which is held every two years in the small North Canterbury settlement of Waipara.

The Next Festival is now 3 months away keep an eye out for updates as they come to hand

Update 11/05/03 The news is that the festival dates have been set and they are the 20-21st September 2003.

Update 05/09/03 The following locos are looking like they will be attending the festival

Due to questions of insurance being raised and also members of the WPR excutive not liking what was going with the festival it is with regret that the visiting locos will not be attending the 2003 Waipara Vintage Festival. So roll on 2005 when all locos will return to Waipara to celebrate 10 years of festivals. Also the Railfan's event planned for the 18th September has been cancelled as well.
