On May 9, 1999 we got together for the first launch day of the club. We had 15 sucessful launches and a lot of fun. We will be scheduleing another launch day soon, watch for details. (we will post some photos soon).

On May 22, 1999 We had our second Club launch. There were three of us there and we had 16 launches and lost 1 and a half rockets. We have concluded that with the always present wind here in the Valley the best means of recovery is the streamer. To date John Bearden holds the distance record, his nose cone was last seen going North West and went out of sight in the distance, and not seemingly loosing any altitude. If anyone finds a nose cone and a parachute in their yard please return it to John. We are planning a launch of a larger and higher power rocket for the early morning of May 23, 1999. We will let everyone know how that one goes.

One project we have up our sleeve is going to be a rocket with a payload of a camera and transmitter set up to do amatuer radio fast scan television.

We hope to tape a liftoff via telemetry ( fast scan ) and put the footage up on the webpage. Construction and more info to follow.
