From mid-1970's to mid-1990's,many Tristar have flew to Kai Tak Airport. Most of them were belonged to Cathay Pacific. Besides them, many L1011 have flew to Kai Tak by schedule, charter, ferry even private flight. In the following, you can see some Tristar photos,which were taken at Kai Tak Airport and the brief history of the airlines operated Tristar to Kai Tak.

THE FIRST TRISTAR AT KAI TAK
N305EA was the first Tristar landed on Kai Tak Runway. In 1972,She flew the demo flight for Lockheed with Eastern Airlines colour and Lockheed title.She departure from Osaka and left Hong Kong to Singapore. Although, Cathay Pacific hasn't ordered any L1011 at that time. But in March 1974, Cathay has ordered 2 L1011 from Lockheed and delivered to Cathay in 1975.(Photo by Lee Cheng)
THE LAST TRISTAR AT KAI TAK
N198AT (N31030) was the last Tristar saw at Kai Tak Airport. It was arrived to Kai Tak with ATA new colour and TWA rudder. After spent in the hanger for few weeks, it was carrying with full ATA new colour but still with TWA registration.She made the test flight on the last few days of Kai Tak. On the last day of Kai Tak(5th July 1998), it took off on runway 13 in the morning.The photo showed N31030 was towed back to hanger after engines test on 1st July 1998. (Photo by Kelvin Poon)
