Dave Cook

Dave is a good friend of mine who happens to also share an interest in biology.  The truth is, we probably would never have met if we didn't share this common interest.  Dave and I have followed similar life paths.  Graduate from high school, go to college, get a job, find a girlfriend, live with girlfriend, realize your mistakes, jump ship, get back into childhood love of nature, and get back to a yearly income on par with your childhood allowance.  We are both still working on bettering that situation.  Dave is primarily interested in stream ecology, a subject he intends to study in graduate school.  He also tends to be our best source of entertainment.  Dave plays the guitar and likes to write songs about everyone he knows.  Though this might sound nice, his dry sense of humor keeps his songs full of abrasive, derogatory humor.  However, his songs are never meant to belittle, but simply to make us smile.  Check out Dave's Home Page.   It is full of good writing (relative to mine!) and some wonderfully scenic pictures.

Dave does, on occasion, take normal pictures.  This particular picture was certainly a fluke.  Clearly, he was not aware that a picture was being taken.
