A few thousand years ago, Man did not even know whether the earth was round or flat. A few hundred years ago, he knew it was round, but did not know whether it was the center of the Universe, or just one of many planets orbiting the Sun. Today, he is beginning to wonder whether there is a life elsewhere in the Universe. And, if there are intelligent beings, how we can get in touch with them.
Some people may think it strange that a science that began several thousand years ago cannot answer the question:
"Is there life elsewhere?"
