SOME WORDS ABOUT ME

My full name is Karl-Heinz Beulke Moreno, but just call me Karl. I was born 20 years ago on the 23rd October in Venezuela, but now I live in Germany. The life between these two countries brought me to my hobby, the civil aviation transport. It means: I've been flying since I was a baby and I Still can't get enough of it.

It was December of 1992 when I got the idea of starting to collect safety-cards. The crew from an Air Malta aircraft from La Valetta to Dusseldorf was so friendly that I had to take a souvenir to remember this unique flight. So my first safety-card was an Air Malta Boeing 737-200.

In the following for years, I flew also other aircraft, but I would never have come to the idea of making up a "real" collection, if there wouldn't be Axel Doehring, a friend of mine who brought me some "souvenirs" from his trip to South Africa in Winter 1995/96. It was also 1996, when I got the shock: There were also other "crazy" people in the world who collect safety-cards. It means: I got my "first contact" with another collector.

In July of 1998 I started to learn basic knowledges in html to make my own homepage and the subject of it was found very soon: Aviation and my safety-card collection. At this moment, I thaught, this would be the first homepage about safety-cards - it was more than wrong. Some days after my page was inaugurated, one of my safety-exchange - pals, Peter van Meerten told me about his homepage and soon, I found other people all over the world who share this strange hobby too.

This page is dedicated to all collectors who presented this hobby to the whole world of the www, all my friends which helped me to build up this collection of safety-cards, as well as all Airlines which contributed some cards to my collection.

Please excuse my bad english and tell me, if you find something wrong!
