ABOUT THIS PAGE

At first, I do not even have the slightest idea when I started this page. It was around 1998 when I was studying economics in Lüneburg (I gave up in early 2001). This was my first page, so one of my purposes was to learn html by building and re-building. The other purpose of this page was to present my safety-card collection and my tradelist to get in contact with other collectors. For me, it was a success and my collection grew by several hundred cards.

From early 1999 on, I tried to expand it by adding information about my favourite aircraft, the Mc Donnell - Douglas DC-10. It resulted in a larger site, the Mc Donnell - Douglas DC-10 homepage, which was far too large for the geocities webspace. I got my own domain and my own websapce in January 2000, three months before the page made its online debut on April 10th. The Mc Donnell - Douglas DC-10 homepage is now one of the largest and most informative internet sources for this aircraft.

When safety-card trading was more and more done by e-mail lists and I focused my time into the DC-10 page and did not update this one anymore. It became idle for a long time so that I was thinking about closing it in 2003. But I think, I am too sentimental for that, so I decided to made a small online portal out of it. It will contain links to all of my pages and, in its tradition, I will continue to use it for online experiments. The style of the page has (obviously...) not changed since its beginning and I do not have any plans to do so. Even the safety card on the main page dates back to 1998 (or so...), but it has now other pages behind the pictograms. Some of the pages are still original, but will be replaced. I hope, you enjoy the saty on any of this pages!
