I Am Ready To Move Onto A Better Job

Ever since the beginning of this month I have been applying for places that I am interested of getting hired at. I apply at Chase Bank, Anchor Blue, Barnes & Noble, and Borders. There are other places that I also apply at as well. Hopefully I get an interview from those places soon. I really want to leave Sam’s Club ASAP. I have excellent job experience. I have been working since November 1999. My first job was working at Good Guys. My friend Rocio got me a job working as a Personal Electronics associate. What I did was help people answer questions about digital camera, telephones, and video games and system. I work there for one month since I was only seasonal. I was rehired February 2000 when Rocio left. The company was willing to rehire me only if I was able to push my sales higher and offer more ESP (Extended Service Plan). I manage to get my sales up higher and within two months I was promoted to Video Sales Associate. It was hard selling video products like television and DVD players because I was not trained well and my co-workers were stealing my sales. I did not last long at that job. I quit in August 2000 to focus on college (I was attending Contra Costa College at that time and going toward my second year). I was able to get a job at Mervyn’s in March 2001. I started out in Customer Services dealing with customer issue. I was promoted to Jewelry in October 2002. I stay at that job for five and a half years (March 2001-October 2006). I got the job at Sam’s Club because a representative from the company was on campus recruiting people to apply for them. The next day I went into the store to apply and was able to get my three interviews the following week. Within two weeks I got hired. I have been with Sam’s Club since September 2006. Sam’s Club was not a bad job in the beginning. It had gotten worse when people got promoted within their 90 days. I found it unfair that these people got promoted. People who have worked with that company for years are still struggling to get a promotion. Luckily for me I have gotten a $2 raise within two years of employment (I started out at $11.20 and now I am at $13.00). I want to move onto a better job. I don’t care how much they start at. The only thing that I care about is the work environment.  I just hope I get a new job before the Spring Semester at Diablo Valley College is over.
