I've travelled around a lot of Australia camping. Here was one fantastic spot we stayed for 3 days. Didn't see many people. The Finke River Road runs through the middle ground. Can you see our 3 cars lined up?

This is my all time favourite. We had been stuck in Birdsville QLD for 3 days. Finally the Diamantina River had gone down so we could move on south down the "Birdsville Track". We got to the "Mirra Mitta Bore" & found it had substantially flooded the road. The 4WD's had made it too messy for us to cross in the middle so we spent half an hour clearing large rocks out from the right hand side. I took a run-up in the car & hit it doing 100kph. The momentum just got me through. My mate Tony had the sense to take the picture from his car.
