  Membership to the society is open to all people of all ages .The only prerequisite is an interest in Astronomy.You do not need to own a telescope to join. 

There are two options  you can choose to be a Member in the Lebanese Astronomical Society : 

1- Visiting Member: 
     A visiting member can participate for free in all the event of the society such as the Beginners meetings, Lectures, Viewing nights, Star parties..etc. However a visiting member can not participate in the running of the society and the elections of the Board of Directors and other official related activites. 

2- Active Member: 
    An active member can  participate in the running of the society and the elections of the Board of Directors and other official related activites as well as  participate in all events of the Society. However in order to become a full active member your application form must first be approved by the board of directors and you should pay  a fee of 50,000 LL annually (payments can be made in installments if you want). 
 

Registration to the Society. 

Anyone interested in joining the society needs to send a Registration form or E-mail to lebast@geocities.com requesting to join the society. 

We will then send you all information about the society, the schedule and place of the meetings. It would be preferable to include in your email a brief description about yourself . This would help us to put you with  the appropriate group of people who are of  your age, profession, and people who hold  similar general interests with you.
