Welcome to my position tracker projects page! Since December 1999, I've been working in hobby construction of magnetic position trackers. I've published an article about an early prototype in Circuit Cellar ("Magnetic Position Tracker", August 2001, #133), and currently I'm designing an improved version.

Paper: pdf file of paper describing the working principles of magnetic trackers. This paper describes a lot that wasn't covered in my Circuit Cellar article. International link, may be slow. NOTE: currently there are a few omissions. Email me if you would like to know about an update.

qtrack01 microcontroller interface: the Circuit Cellar article doesn't present a circuit for a microcontroller interface to the circuit. Here you can more information on this.
