Short BIO
Hi,
My name is Jim Leatherman. I am 45 years old. I am married and have four children. I have lived in San Antonio Texas since 1966. I have "tinkered" with free energy projects since 1970. After completing school I took additional electronics courses at home. I have always believed that the thousands of volts in the atmosphere would be the answer to free energy and we would be able to control the weather by using this voltage.  I spent much time on static electricity research. I am not afraid of failure and I welcome any and all ideas, large or small.
Goals
IMPORTANT: These pages are not presented because I have the answer to free energy, they are here to aid others in their free energy quest. Please remember, you might have the answer, you are just looking at it the wrong way.
I do not wish to try and create "new" energy. I only wish to use what we have now. I am not satisfied that we are using energy properly. Our motors are very good and I am thankful we have them but this does not necessarily mean they are the best design. I believe we can collect or capture some wasted energy from our current systems. Back emf - heat - optimizing coils - gravity - magnetic emf - aerial energy - RF energy from switching circuits and capturing the energy from a spark are just a few ways to lessen the burden of current systems. For example, if a motor generates heat, that heat should be exchanged for work to aid the motor's load and cool the motor at the same time. To date some examples of efficient items are -some camping stoves and lanterns, static motors, minto wheel and ammonia refrigerators.
Boring bio:
I started in electronics in the late 60's. I was making and operating light shows  (stobe and stage lights)  for local bands, repairing transistor radios and light house wiring.  I managed a TV repair shop in 1971 and most of my idle time was spent learning more about electronics. I quickly tired of TV repair and found that two way radio really interested me.
I had my first computer in 1980 and I was trying desperately to use the computer to test my ideas. My first "Adams type" motor was running at that time using a 30 pound car flywheel. Hall effect transistors had just become available to the public and I was using them for switching. My motor did run but it was not efficient to today's standards. The idea was to use centrifugal force, more magnets, fewer coils, more leverage and make the motor the flywheel. Soon after this ceiling fans became available in a more efficient "pancake motor" type design. This indicated to me that I was on the right track.
Then came the internet and thousands of free energy files became available (mostly from Keelynet) and I realized I was not alone in my beliefs.
My Opinion
I have studied and tested long wave and short wave energy, earth energy, magnetic energy and static energy. No matter how hard I try it still takes 3 watts to generate 1 watt of power. Obviously I have not found the answer yet but I know it is there and when it is found, it will be very simple. The novice or layman will most likely discover this unknown energy because he has not been taught what is not possible.
We live in a sea of energy, we just need to learn how to collect it.
My common sense tells me that we will need to use all forms of "free" energy to make this work. i.e.. wind power, solar power, earth batteries, static power and any new power so we will always have power on demand.
Perpetual motion
There is no such thing and there will never be! When we achieve free energy there will be a force making it happen, it is just not known to us now. Free Energy will NOT go against the laws of nature, it will work with nature.

Thank you for visiting my page and I wish you the best of luck in all of your endeavors;
