Every year, a large number of people have their property and lives threatened by tropical weather. The coastlines of the United States, especially the southeast and gulf coasts, have experienced rapid growth over the past few years, and many people simply don't realize the risk they face. Others think themselves far enough inland that they need not concern themselves with tropical weather. The fact is that tropical weather can have a very large impact well away from the coast, and should a signifigant tropical system threaten the United States, anyone who may be affected by it needs to have the latest information and forecasts. That's where this page comes in.
