Paper I Beam Building

Make I beams out of paper. Be sure to put a flange on the top and the bottom. Then make a large structure from the beams. Each lab group can make a room. Then put the rooms together to make and aparrtment. Do some study to find the strength of an I beam compared to a square beam with the same dimensions. Compare the weight of each. Have the students investigate this.
