After the Dropping

This section talks about what happened after the bombing, the events that followed, and any effects that it gave to the planet, and the people.

A second bomb was dropped on Nagasaki three days after the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. This had a even greater effect on the Pacific than D-Day did on Europe. America's development in nuclear weaponry sparked fear into other countries like Russia, who also started developing nuclear weapons, hence starting the Cold War. This nuclear arms race ended shortly after the Cuban Missile crisis. The Cuban Missile crisis was caused when the Russians moved their nuclear weapons to Cuba directly below the

United States of America. For several days, the world was on the brink of nuclear war, until Russia finally removed the missiles away from Cuban soil. Only after the Cuban Missile crisis, did the superpowers of the world realize the dangers of nuclear power, and signed treaties prohibiting testing in space, underwater, and above ground, allowing only underground testing of nuclear arms.
